Mixing & Curing
ULTIMEG 2020 is a two-component system consisting of Base + Hardener. The commonly specified mixing ratio is:
Base : Hardener = 5 : 1 by weight
For example, 500 g Base + 100 g Hardener = 600 g mixed material.
The components should be mixed carefully and gently to minimize air entrapment. The published technical information gives approximately 24 hours curing at room temperature or 6 hours at 50°C.
Important Safety Information
The Base contains epoxy resin components and glycidyl ether-type reactive materials. The SDS identifies it as capable of causing skin sensitization and irritation to the eyes/skin, with environmental hazards also identified. Appropriate gloves, eye protection, ventilation and the manufacturer’s current SDS should be used when handling it.
